An Apology to Audrina

Audrina is NOT my favorite star of The Hills, and I think we've all established that by now. I will give the shout outs to Kristin Cavallari, in all her bitchiness, long before I will ever give Audrina credit for anything.

But since one of the bad fashion faux pas I am guilty of committing is wearing shorts or skirts or dresses with my favorite pairs of Ugg boots, and since I've been rockin' this look since the before the inception of Uggs hitting mainstream America (you know, like circa, 2000, when I went off to college) I had to feature the Hills star on my blog, and an apology, as well:

Audrina, I know I can be bitchy in my criticism of your behavior on The Hills. I think you are clingy, needy, afraid to be alone (or without J Bob) and have low self-esteem. I don't know why, because you have dropped close to ten grand to buy a new set of breasts. Still, I'd like to make a mends, and say that if anybody is getting the okay to wear boots with shorts in winter, it's you. I will admit, though my tan probably puts yours to shame right now, your legs put my legs to shame. Go girl. Keep it up, and you just might win Justin Bobby back.

The Hills returns to MTV next season, but be sure and buy Season 5 on DVD today. I ordered mine from Amazon.com, and those speedy bastards delivered it promptly to my front door within two days. Amazon, you got it goin on. Love it.

Lots of Pretty from The City

Whitney, I'm loving the fact that you're branching out on your own and starting your own line...not only do I usually love what you're wearing (there have been the occassional slip-ups in your fashion history, but hey, we've all been there once or twice) but I also love that you're actually a nice girl. And you were on The Hills, and The City. Which seems like a virtual miracle, considering most of the girls on those shows? Are either crybabies, or bitches.

To check out Whit's new line for yourself, visit her website: www.whitneyeve.com, and also, keep an eye out at Nordstrom locations, because I spotted a few pieces from her collection at Nordie's the other day and actually loved them, which is surprising, since I usually don't like clothing made my celebs. Whitney, again, you beat the odds, girlfriend.

Now if only you would someday stand up to Kelly Cutrone, and bitch slap her across the face when she goes all PMS on everyone.

That? Would be amazing.

The Lady in Lace

Initially, I bought the black lacy top below because I intended to throw on a nude colored cami I had purchased at Nordstrom and layer this top over it, and then add a fitted, tailored, sleek black blazer from White House Black Market over that, and wear it with black tailored Theory pants to work.

Since I am on medical leave, and since I work in a small town where I get little to no appreciation for my sense of style, I figured I'd pair it with a lovely black bra I bought at Victoria's Secret recently, a pair of jeans or a black leather mini, and wear it to go have a drink (or two, or three) with my friends, or on a date. (Yes, I said 'date.' And no, hell is not freezing over.)

Kristin Cavallari, I understand we both have a penchant for starting fights with annoying, needy and pathetic, and somewhat dim-witted girls (like Audrina Patridge, for instance) "stealing" other people's boyfriends, and Stephen Colletti (well, you seem to have left him in the dust, but my love for Stephen is still goin' strong) but did you have to go and wear a similar top, too? I mean, you have all day to spend in the gym. Me? Not so much.

Even still, I will rock this lacy top & still hope for the day when I, like Kristin, can steal Brody Jenner away from a Playboy playmate (Jayde Nicole) who looks like a cross-eyed freak of nature. Talk about a butter face. (As in, 'Everything's good, but-her-FACE!)

Again, a girl can dream.

To buy your own version of this top, visit www.bebe.com or Bebe stores nationwide, or you can pick up a similar and still very cute version at Express stores, or online at www.expressfashion.com.

The Pink Lady

Although I'm not the biggest Audrina fan this season (other seasons, perhaps I was more in her corner than I am now) I do think this Hills hooker (I say that affectionately, of course.) (Riii-iiight) deserves a shout out for bringing attention to Breast Cancer awareness. This is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and throughout the month, you will find me featuring celebs wearing apparel or accessories that draw attention to finding a cure for Breast Cancer, and you'll see me highlight products that will support the cause that is near and dear to my heart. Even when they include Justin Bobby's booty call.

Hey, finding a cure is worth pulling out all the stops.

The Bitch You Love to Hate

Oh, yes, it is that time of year again...time for all new episodes of your favorite TV shows, even the reality TV shows we all loathe but secretly, or not so secretly, adore.

One of my favorite shows happens to be The Hills, and even though I'll admit it is still difficult for me to see the show without seeing Lauren every week driving in her BMW with the top down, the song "Unwritten" playing in the background, I still tune in like a loyal Hills devotee, or at least I have been over the past two weeks.

Tell me who your favorite Hills star is and I'll tell you who you are. That is basically the size of it.

Although I related to Lauren (LC) Conrad in a few ways (except for the fact that she was a millionaire, and all) I must admit that I just love Kristin Cavallari. I know I may stand alone on this one, and call me crazy, but I love her bitchy attitude, her in-your-face responses to drama, and her ability to make Lo shake in her Louboutin heels. I love the fact that in episode one she yelled, "I am the wrong bitch to mess with," because that might as well be tattooed around my wrist, or on my forearm. I like that she tells it like it is, and doesn't care if all the other girls are her best friend--she'd rather keep it real than have a bunch of fake friends trailing behind her. She's not going to be crying on every episode, because she's stronger than that. Like her or hate her, she's gonna be the bitch you love to hate.

And one thing that I can say for Ms. Cavallari, that few would disagree with?

The girl's style has improved significantly on the style-meter. She's someone who will be on the fashion radar, at least for a few more seasons.

Now if only she could improve Justin Bobby's look.
Kristin, you've got your work cut out for you, doll.

Spoiled in The City

There’s always one spoiled little bitch on every reality TV show. Now, don’t get me wrong, I really am not a big fan of Olivia on The City; and although I love Whitney so much more in comparison, I must say, I love Olivia’s sense of style, and I think the bitch at Elle Magazine in this season’s episodes is a royal jackass for kicking Olivia off of her staff (or trying to, anyway.) I especially love how she can take one look and balance it with something so completely opposite: I think she embodies what I mean by “everything in balance” and I think she’s a fashion plate, regardless if she’s a high strung, self-centered Park Avenue princess. Tune in to The City after The Hills on MTV, Tuesday nights, and see Olivia in action—she will be the girl you love to hate, but hey, she’ll be wearing the latest Louboutins as she pounds the pavement in NYC. Gotta love that.
